How easy are Guardsman Dog Guards to fit?
Every Guardsman Dog Guard is specifically designed to suit your car and will take between 2 and 15 minutes to fit.
They come with very few components and there is no pre assembly required.
The Dog Guards weigh about 5kg and as you will be leaning into the boot while trying to position the guard correctly so an extra pair of hands will make life easier, We assume that most customers will leave the Dog Guard in place however if you do need to remove it you will be able to do so easily, Fitment does not require you to drill or modify your car in any way and all our parts fit independently of the seat headrests.
All fitting instructions are supplied and all bolts used to assemble the Dog Guard frame are tightened using an Allen key which we provide in the kit
Will the ‘Universal’ Tailgate Guard fit my car?
We have had no fitment issues regarding this part being fitted to existing products. It can be moved in and out and up and down against the Divider to ensure that it will fit correctly.
I have a Sunroof fitted in my car – will the Dog Guard fit OK?
Having a sunroof fitted normally means the roof lining is dropped slightly lower to accommodate the sunroof mechanism. On many of our Dog Guards this makes no difference. On some we supply different bracketry and on a few we have re-designed the guard completely. We have covered this in the product descriptions but if you are unsure give us a call and we will clarify.
How long will my order take to be delivered?
If we have the parts in stock (and we do have a great many!) we will ship the next working day after the order is placed. Delivery throughout most of the UK is 1-2 working days with most of Europe being a few days longer.
If the part is not in stock then we will make it to order. This may take up to fifiteen working days.
There may also be circumstances beyond our and the delivery company’s control so this service is not guaranteed. However we are happy to liaise with the delivery company to resolve any delivery issues as quickly as possible.
I want to buy a Guardsman Dog Guard but there are two different vehicles shown for my model year, how do I choose?
Car manufacturers will sometimes overlap sales of outgoing and incoming models. The Dog Guards and Dividers are vehicle specific so it’s important to order the correct part for your car. If you are unsure email us some some images of the car you own and we will be happy to advise.
Will a Guardsman Boot Divider fit with another brand of dog guard?
Our Boot Dividers will only fit with the corresponding Guardsman Dog Guard.
They will not fit any other manufacturers’ parts. Our Boot Dividers are the only ones on the market that can be fitted in multiple positions (70/30, 60/40, 50/50) allowing you to vary the compartment sizes
Is there any way I can see how the parts fit before I buy?
A lot of the Dog Guards use existing fixing points in the car. All of the product pages on this website have printable fitting instructions.
I’ve bought a Guardsman Dog Guard and I’m having a problem fitting it, what should I do?
Send an email to [email protected] noting the part number, your order number and the nature of the problem. Photos will help and will enable us to resolve the issue. Photos are better for us than videos.
I have misplaced one of the parts that came with my order. Can I order the part from you separately?
Email us with the part number of the Dog Guard and description of the part you require – refer to the fitting instructions you received with your order for clarification. Provide us with a delivery address and we will get a price to you.
